As a general guide, BLS is required for most clinical roles, such as nurses, medical assistants, and allied health professionals, while ACLS is required for providers who manage advanced cardiovascular emergencies, including physicians, paramedics, and critical care nurses. If your role falls between these categories, your credentialing department can confirm the correct requirement.
