Cancellation, Refund, and Rescheduling Policy

Please read this policy carefully before completing your registration. By enrolling in any CPR Maryland course, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined below.

Your Enrollment Is Permanent and Non-Transferable

  • All course registrations are final at the time of purchase. CPR Maryland does not offer refunds for any reason once a registration has been completed.
  • Upon enrollment, each student is assigned a dedicated course seat through the American Heart Association (AHA). This seat is registered specifically to the individual and is non-transferable. It cannot be reassigned to another person, reused at a later date, or applied toward a different course.
  • This policy is strictly enforced without exception.

Course Rescheduling Terms

Standard Rescheduling Fee

Students who need to change their course date must submit a request before the scheduled start time. A $25 rescheduling fee will be charged per instance.

Reschedule Insurance

At the time of initial registration, students may purchase Reschedule Insurance for a one-time, non-refundable fee of $15. This add-on allows the student to reschedule up to two (2) times at no additional charge, subject to the following conditions:

  • All rescheduling requests must be made before the scheduled course start time.
  • After the two covered reschedules are used, any additional rescheduling will incur the standard $25 fee.
  • Reschedule Insurance is non-refundable regardless of whether it is used.

Non-Refundable Course Components

All items listed below are considered final sale and are ineligible for a refund under any condition:

  • Online and Blended Learning Courses: All self-guided, online-only, or hybrid course purchases, including Heartcode Complete, Heartcode Skills, and RQI (Resuscitation Quality Improvement) registrations. Digital access is granted immediately upon payment and cannot be revoked or reassigned.
  • Rescheduled Registrations: Once a course has been rescheduled for any reason, it is no longer eligible for a refund.
  • Reschedule Insurance and Fees: The $15 Reschedule Insurance fee and any $25 rescheduling fees paid are final and non-refundable.

No-Show Policy

A “No-Show” is defined as any registrant who fails to attend their scheduled course or skills session without prior notification to CPR Maryland.

  • Students marked as a No-Show will forfeit all course fees in full. No refund, credit, or rescheduling option will be offered.
  • Online course access is assigned to a specific individual and email address at the time of registration and cannot be transferred, reused, or refunded under any circumstances.

Can I transfer my registration to a friend or coworker?
No, all registrations are tied to a specific individual through the American Heart Association and cannot be transferred to another person under any circumstances.
We understand that unexpected situations arise. However, our no-refund policy applies in all cases. If you anticipate needing flexibility, we strongly recommend purchasing Reschedule Insurance ($15) at the time of registration, which allows you to reschedule up to two times at no extra cost.
Rescheduling requests must be submitted before your course start time. Requests made after the class has begun will not be honored and will be treated as a No-Show.
No, digital course access is activated and assigned to your account immediately upon purchase, regardless of whether you have logged in or begun the course material.
